Private Health
A couple of days ago we ran into a friend of ours - whose wife just happens to be Kylie. At the start of the pregnancy we placed a lot of faith in the public health system, but our friend said we'd be mad not to go private if we've paid for it.
So we phoned our health insurance provider and got all the details. To enter the private system you need to have an obstetrician. Then you go visit the obstetrician, hand over a wad of cash and it's all pretty much sorted. So I'm told.
The problem is finding an obstetrician with roughly five weeks to spare. Apparently it's impossible. With indemnity insurance costs the way they are obstetrics is not so attractive a field any more, Libby went from A-Z in the obstetrics list for our insurance company. You know that stupid saying: It's always in the last place you look? Well, Dr Tam was the last place we could look.
So we have one of those.
That's good. I suppose.

Catching Up
I've just spent the last two months filling in for my boss at work. It was quite a time, and quite stressful. It meant that a couple of things had to slide and unfortunately this blog was one of them.
I plan to backfill a few entries over the last two months - there are only six weeks to go! Over the next week or so, things will get up to date.
In short, Lib's looking nice and round - healthy, although the little unit is quite active and keeps her awake at night. She's decided to take from the start of August off as a result.
Things are clicking into place at home, the nursery is ready and spring cleaning will take place in the next couple of weeks - nesting, the call it. Or so I am told.
Having said that, for some reason we felt compelled to look at houses on the weekend and happened across one which caught our eye. Things seem to happen in threes.
Little Unit, House, .....?
