And then there were three

I introduce to you, Thomas Andrew. Formerly known as jellybean, little unit and "get out you shit!" (very recently), Thomas became a very real part of our world this morning at 2:37am.
In the old measure, he packs 8lb 10oz.
So now there are two heroes in my life. Libby, who brought my son here today, in spite of the clear disparity between the size of the baby and they way it gets out, and our new, beautiful, egg-shaped-headed Thomas.
I looked at Thomas this morning, very early this morning, and stared at the blank canvas before me. I have but a single hope for this little man, to help him meet the fulfilment of what will be his own hopes and dreams. It humbles me to think that I will play a major part in this persons life, forever. I hope to get it right more often than I get it wrong.
I step forward with Libby into tomorrow and beyond with an awesome responsibility. Some days, I guess it will be difficult, even troublesome. But I will always be there for you.
Welcome Thomas, nice to meet you. We've been waiting for you.

Time's Up
After the Obstetrician's Appointment on Monday 10 Sep, it was decided that little unit was to be evicted. To that end, Lib* was booked into Calvary Hospital for an induction.
So, we'll be at the Hospital tonight. The next post should announce some sort of arrival!
Last night we went out to celebrate our last dinner as a married couple, the one before we become a family. Then we kicked back and watched a video before I had a glass too many and we went to bed.
The segue is nearly complete. I'm excited.

Getting Close
Our baby was due on Tuesday 5 September. Obviously, the little unit is a little reluctant to leave the confines of a perfectly healthy womb and join us for a dose of reality.
Libby realised today that we haven't had many photos taken during this journey, so we took a couple this evening, lying in wait...
First of all, this is us:

and this is Libby's belly, her hands and my hands:
